Stu Stu Studio

Oh I am sooo excited I could pee my pants!!! My good friend, Klocker, happened to fall into getting us the cutest studio space. I can't wait to get all moved in and start plucking away at new projects. The natural light is this place is fantastic and the space ohh all the space. I love it. Sure I enjoy my art space at home, but it is crowded and I usually have more than one project going on. So now I will have a space dedicated to my Art projects only and hopefully it will help me to not procrastinate so much ;)

Paper Mache Maddness

I have fallen in love with a new medium....Papier Mache! I still like polymer clay but the finish I get with paper mache is fantastic. I have always enjoyed paper mache folk art pieces and I am really inspired to take my Whimsy Houses in that direction.
This is a pic of my first one. I'm donating it to a Charity auction for a friend of mine that has a husband with cancer.
More of these houses are being made and will be in my next store update, soon.

I ♥ Hot Cocoa

I received this story with a great mix of hot chocolate from my parents who received it by an email . It really makes you think so I thought I would pass it on.
The Wisdom of Hot Chocolate
Hot Cocoa Pictures, Images and Photos
* photo from photobucket A group of graduates, well established in their careers, were talking at a reunion and decided to go visit their old university professor, now retired.
During their visit, the conversation turned to complaints about stress in their work and lives. Offering his guests hot chocolate, the professor went into the kitchen and returned with a large pot of hot chocolate and an assortment of cups — porcelain, glass, crystal, some plain looking, some expensive, some exquisite. He then told them all to help themselves to the hot chocolate. When they each had a cup of hot chocolate in hand, the professor said:"Notice that all the nice looking, expensive cups were taken, leaving behind the plain and cheap ones. While it is normal for you to want only the best for yourselves, that is the source of your problems and stress." "The cup that you're drinking from adds nothing to the quality of the hot chocolate. In most cases it is just more expensive and in some cases even hides what we drink." "What all of you really wanted was hot chocolate, not the cup... but you consciously went for the BEST cups." "And then you began eyeing each other's cups." "Now consider this: Life is the hot chocolate; your job, money and position in society are the cups. They are just tools to hold and contain life." "The cup you have does not define, nor change the quality of life you have.Sometimes, by concentrating only on the cup, we fail to enjoy the hot chocolate." The happiest people don't need the best of everything. They just make the best of everything that they have. Live simply.
Love generously.
Care deeply.
Speak kindly.
And enjoy your hot chocolate!!

My Handmade Christmas

Wow ! I can't believe the holidays are over. These are pics of some of the gifts I made this year. The shadow box was for my Mom , the poem inside it is one of her favorites. I made two cupcake houses for my nieces Luella and Hazel. They also recieved cupcake charm necklaces. The Chicken Charm bracelets for Amber and Mackenzie turned out super cute! I don't have pics but I also made a fleece teddy bear, turned an old window shutter into a letter holder/key holder, a necklace with a vintage wooden button, Tutu's and fairy crowns. Whewwwww no wonder I haven't had time to update my shop or blog!
