Fabulous Cookie Recipe!!

These are the cookies my mom bakes every week for a treat for our patients at our office! They are Fantastic!
Gaskell Chocolate Chip Cookies Preheat oven 350 degrees Mix together the following dry ingredients: 2 ¼ cups flour 1 ½ cups chopped walnuts ½ cup old fashion oatmeal 1 ½ tsp. baking soda 1 tsp. Salt 1 tsp. Cinnamon ½ tsp. Allspice ½ tsp. Nutmeg ½ tsp. Cloves Mix together the following in separate bowl: 1 cup butter 2 eggs (extra large) 1 tsp. Vanilla 1 cup dark brown sugar 1 cup white sugar Blend the dry ingredients into the butter mixture. Dough will be rather thick. Mix in the following: 3 cups semi sweet chocolate chips Make any size cookies you wish. I have found that a ball or dough (3 tablespoons) baked for 13 minutes at 350 is nice. Most importantly, to make a cookie that is soft in the middle, take the cookies out of the oven as soon as they are barely brown. Let them cool on the cookie sheet for a few minutes to set before removing them and place on a cooling rack.

Traditions

Its my Christmas Tradition to put these five ornaments on my tree first. They were handmade by my grandparents. My grandpa Buggs cut all the wood pieces and glued them together and my grandma Gidge painted them and added all the details.
They are the most precious ornaments I own.

How Whimsy Houses Started

I am so excited that my Whimsy Houses are selling that I thought I would explain more about them.
These are pics of me and my sister-in-law , Becky. We are standing in front of our fairy booth. Three years ago we decided it would be fun to make some handcrafted items to sell . We both love fairies and whimsical stuff, so we started making fairy charms, copper wire bubble wands, crowns, and of course houses. The houses were a hit (you can kind of see some of them on the shelves behind us) and I absolutely love making them so I started making them to sell on Etsy. Right now I am still working on winter ones , but my next series is going to be really sweet!!! Check back for updates.

Wedding Details

This is what I have been doing all summer....Wedding Planning! This is where the ceremony took place. Under this fabulous cottonwood tree. We used hay bales for seating with squares of fabric draped over them. Down the aisle we staked up dried Hollyhock and used antique wheel barrows full of goldenrod and mauve daisys at the back of the aisle

And it was created

Good Day!
I'm in the middle of setting up my Etsy shop.(www.MyWhimsicalWishes.etsy.com) I have many things I want to make and sell so I'm starting this blog to help me keep my ideas flowing! My favorite medium (for now) is polymer clay. I started using polymer clay years ago, but it wasn't until recently that I have truly grown to love it. I have spent countless hours surfing the web for clay techniques and tutorials. I plan on listing my favorite links so check them out. There are many amazing things you can create with polymer. My main focus is on creating fairy houses, but I'm also addicted to making my own jewelry.
